Starting the school year in Ireland

This year, a group of Ayalde-Munabe students began their 1st year of Secondary School in Ireland. They embarked on an unforgettable journey to Dublin for a five-week immersion in both the English language and Irish culture. This program has become a tradition at the school, offering students the opportunity to broaden their horizons, not only academically but also personally.

The boys stayed with different Irish host families and attended several schools, such as Ravenswell Primary School, Newtownmountkennedy National School, and St. Lawrence O’Tooles. This unique experience allowed them to fully integrate into the daily life of their host country. They took part in family and school traditions, gaining a deeper understanding of Irish customs, culture, and lifestyle.

Outside the classroom, the students had the chance to explore some of Dublin’s most iconic landmarks. They visited historical and cultural sites such as Phoenix Park, Malahide Castle, Grafton Street, and toured the prestigious Trinity College, famous for its ancient library and the Book of Kells.

Our students returned home not only with improved English skills, but also with wonderful memories, new friendships, cultural discoveries, and the confidence that comes from stepping out of their comfort zone.

This international experience is not new to Ayalde-Munabe. For the past 20 years, the school has offered this program, giving generations of students the chance to live and learn in Ireland. Over two decades, it has become a hallmark of the school’s educational vision — one that values global perspective, personal growth, and real-life learning. Through this program, Ayalde-Munabe continues to strengthen its commitment to forming well-rounded students, open to the world and ready to face future challenges with confidence.
